The National Guard has been involved in a number of other domestic missions since 9/11 such as natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina and Super storm Sandy. They have also provided security at major events such as the Super Bowl and the Olympics. They protect our borders, cities, and citizens.

9/11 changed the National Guard in many ways. The Guard is now a more visible and active part of American life. It is also a more versatile force, capable of responding to a wide range of threats.
